There is no need to go to safe mode to reset the monitor
settings. Just press Alt+Space bar to activate the window
control. The two available choices are Move and Close. The 'M' is
the hot key for move. Press 'M', then use the cursor arrows to
move the
window until you can see the "Apply" button, then click on apply.
