I am wondering if my new 3COM USR 56K V90 modem is malfunctioning because
sometimes (like tonight) websites are so slow to load up and sometimes
clicking on a link does absolutely nothing. A friend told me that it is
just a sign of the times with regular web traffic jams at certain times
like Friday evenings. What do you think? I am wondering too whether I
have the modem configured correctly. The phone line tests out at 56K
according to the line test at the USR site. But I am showing connections
at 26400 and download rates of 2.9K/second, which sounds more like 28.8
speed.
