Bob mentioned that his Sound Blaster16 card has two sets of CD jacks.

My Creative Sound Blaster AWE64 also has two CD jacks. (They are
actually different shaped sockets...so, as Bob said, you will need
CD sound cables with different sockets on the sound card end.)

My brother has a Creative Ensonic Audio PCI sound card that has
three sockets. He is using two with two CDROM drives and one with
a TV card. This card is inexpensive, anywhere from $20 for
an OEM version to $50 retail, and it has a very good reputation.
Some people would plug a modem or telephone answering machine
audio wire into one of these jacks.

One thing to bear in mind if you use the jacks on the outside of
the card bracket (on the back of your computer) is that on some
cards, using this jack disables the internal CDROM jack. So on
such a card it would be difficult to use both simultaneously.

Regards,
Bill
