Thanks for all the responses on the talking beepers. I tried calling the
one place someone mentioned (IRD or something like that). They do not have
talking beepers either. I will pursue the Motorola possibility.
Our voice mail here has an option to leave a message as urgent or normal.
Most people have their voice mail set up to beep them if an urgent call is
left. This works great. My problem is a little more difficult. Our team
has a floating beeper which passes to a different support person each
month. That way the client / operations can always call the same number
for support. I was hoping to get a talking beeper and somehow tie it to
the floating beeper for use when I am on support. I'm not sure how that
could be done but I'm sure there's a way. In any case, it doesn't appear
that there is any such thing as a talking beeper. I agree with you, Matt,
there certainly should be!
