You may wish to boot Windows in Saf Mode and try loading the SiS Video
Drivers that came with the MB, (hopefully you got a CD w/Drivers.) Win '98
may be loading incomplete drivers.

Then upgrade to Win '98 drivers.

Otherwise, I have had no trouble with the TX-Pro II, (once they initially
boot-up, high failure rate on my end.)

The SiS drivers, (as mentioned in a previous response), and 4mb RAM you
steal from the system are OK for most applications, but I believe DirectX is
not supported, and you will have to add a 3D card for advanced games. I use
TX Pro II & others like it for business, and they work fine.

Subject: [PCBUILD] TXPro II Video Problems

A friend has built a PC around a TxPro II (PcChips M571) motherboard
(onboard sound/graphics).

He is having problems, the display becomes corrupt after "starting windows"
is displayed (sound like the driver but cannot find an update, using Win98).

Also could it be the memory that is not fast enough as the video shares
system memory (Using 32MB SDRam speed unknown) ?

The video is detected as an SIS 5597/5598 by Win98 and loads driver version
4.05.00.0905

Any Ideas ?
