Is this really the case? I thought that the local machine is the one that
reads the file system and ships the files over the network to the remote so
it does not matter what file system the receiver is using -- it could be a
Unix machine for that matter. I am able to read and write on my son's ZIP
drive over the network even though I do not have the drivers installed on
my machine. Isn't this the same thing?
