Y'all have convinced me to try and build my own computer. Can you give some
recommendations for what to read/where to go to decide just *what*
motherboard, case, sound card, etc. I need to buy? I know nothing about
what are good components and what are not. I don't mind doing some
research, I just don't know where to start. I use my computer for word
processing, lots of email, a few games, not much multimedia stuff,
checkbook, journal- just simple stuff.
I have read Bob Wright's article on building the computer and I'm more
worried about loading the OS than putting the parts together. But then
again, all I have done to my computers is add RAM, so..... I may be biting
off more than I can chew.
I like the idea of a challenging hobby, though.
Thanks,
Mary
