I have NO idea where I read this, but most other mammals "breast-feed" their
offspring until they have tripled their birth weight. Joy oh joy....my
daughter weighed in at 10 lbs 2.5 ounces, and has just about doubled that at
the moment (7 months).  Most kids seem to just naturally wean themselves at a
certain age, presumably when THEY are ready.
