Distance learning is spreading across campuses like the flu! It seems
contageous. Designed correctly, it can include students with disabilities
on a level playingfield. Done carelessly, students can find new barriers
to learning and participation.
At the recent CSUN conference one of the many papers on distance learning
was done by the University of Toronto. They have a web page to help
special needs teachers and to provide training at a distance. See the
blurb below re the "SNOW" project.
students with special needs. Our
web site serves as a clearinghouse of practical resources
and curriculum materials, as a place for educators to meet
and share ideas, and as a place for educators to develop
their professional skills.

EASI has 2 workshops online starting soon.
April 5 easi-web explains how to design web pages for universal access

April 12, Adapt-it gives an overview of campus adaptive computing
