EASI is the premiere provider of online training on accessible information
technology with four month-long courses starting on February 4-- still
time to register! http://easi.cc/workshop.htm

Each individual course carries 3 continuing education units, and
participants can package 5 courses into the Certificate in Accessible
Technology.

1 Barrier-free Information Technology which describes the problems and
benefits of providing access to an institution's information technology
systems, highlights relevant legislation, highlights different adaptive
technologies, gives pointers on how to plan for a campus-wide initiative
for accessibility.

2 Beginners' Barrier-free Web Design which describes the problems and
solutions for access to web pages. It does not require knowledge of HTML
and does not teach HTML except for that needed to make accessibility
modifications.

3 Advanced Barrier-free Web Design for which participants should have some
HTML knowledge. It focuses on more sophisticated issues like animations,
media, tables, forms and more.

4 Business Benefits of Accessible Information technology which
acknowledges that businesses may like to be friendly to people with
disabilities, but that in reality they are motivated by business reasons
for what they do. This new course is packed with facts, examples,
statistics and genuine business advantages gained by including accessible
design into information technology.

Syllabi and online registration for these and for future courses are all
available at http://easi.cc/workshop.htm
