normal oxygen % in the air we breathe is (if I remember rightly) around 5.
For hyperbaric "above pressure" you put the patient in a confined space and
add oxygen to around 7% or more.  It is reported to be an effective way of
treating fungal infections, since fungi prefer relatively anoxic "no oxygen"
tissues.  Do you know of anyone who is treating varicose ulcers with
hyperbaric?  I suspect that many of them are secondary to anoxia of the
lower legs, and so would be susceptible, but have not read any reports.  But
I have been out of practice for many years now, and it may be common
knowledge.        Replies welcome            Geoff
