    There's a lot of theories out there.  I favor the absorbtion theory,
where Neanderthals were absorbed into the general population.  The evidence
for this theory is in the structural and endocrine differences of endomorphs
compared to other humans.  I'm sorry I don't remember the exact details.
    Yes, I am familier with the research that claims Neanderthals and modern
humans never cross-bred.  However, I consider it a "Piltdown Man" scenario.
I don't trust European scientists when it comes to human evolution. . .
