Sorry, but not true. The common name of Prionailurus viverrina (fishing
cat) specifically refers to the habit of fishing by this wild felid. See,

Jaguarundi (Herpailurus yaguarondi), jaguar (Panthera onca), ocelot
(Leopardus pardalis), leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis), mountain lion
(Felis concolor), and Canadian lynx (Lynx canadensis) are all also known to
catch and eat fish.
That said, it is definitely true that a steady diet of canned tuna will
cause a severe taurine deficiency and steatitis in domestic cats and other
felines.
