This may have changed, but when I signed onto this list -- and I
think I was among the first to do so -- the purpose was for it to
serve as a support system for people attempting to practice
paleolithic eating, but not necessarily as outlined in
Neanderthin. That is, the subject matter was not explicitly
limited to support for the Neanderthin version of paleolithic
diet, even though this book was and is the information source
most commonly used.
I like Neanderthin, but to me "support" includes challenging
ideas that need to be challenged. It does not mean passively
accepting what is written in Neanderthin or any other single
source. If this is unduly troubling to John or anyone else, I'll
gladly desist, with no hard feelings.
