Yes, I went through some what of the same thing. I had gotten so sick it
seemed that almost all food was the cause. I finally went to the store and
bought nothing but fresh fruit and vegetables. I ate these foods raw but as
usual my stomach would hurt every time I ate. This went on for five days. I
now guess that my stomach and intestints must have been very messed up and
that's why eating the raw foods caused such pain when ever I did eat. I had
such bad neurological symptoms before trying the raw foods that stomach pain
was the least of my problems, as my neuro problems decressed my stomach
seemed to get worse. (I may have just been more aware of it now) Anyway,
my stomach did get better. The first five days were the worst, after that
the pain started to go away unless I ate something else that didnt agree
with me. It was at this point that I discovered (while trying to eat gluten
free) that I still had problems with dairy, soy, corn and tomatoes. I was
told about the paleo diet and have been eating this way ever since with no
problems. So maybe it is possible that your stomach is just so messed up,
that all food seems to bother you right now too. I would think that in time
as your stomach heals, you would be able to eat paleo with no problem.
Maybe the raw foods are kind of hard on your stomach at this point in time.
Maybe you could try steamed veggies at first. I also got sick on grapes,
but I found out it was from what was sprayed on them, not the grapes
themselfs. Even though I had rinsed them I still got sick. I took a white
cloth and wiped a couple grapes (after I got sick) and black stuff came off
on the towel. It didnt come out in the wash either!
Try the health food store for nuts, I buy mine in bulk.
I wonder if when your stomach heals, you wont be hungry all the time any
more.
I have never heard of anyone having to eat that much salt, it seems that
that alone would be hard on your stomach, not to mention your whole system.
I asked my neuro once if my problems could be food related and he said no,
that if it wasent MS then it was more likely all in my head and that I
should try prozac to rule that out. What a jerk! (I never did try the
prozac) He was very wrong, and as it turned out, my neuro problems WERE
caused by diet! I spent almost a year and thousands of dollers on doctors,
only to figure this out for myself with the help of some very good people
from this list!
