Good question.  When I lived in Alaska, about the only meat we had had been
frozen. I ate it raw on a regular basis, and never had any ill effects.  I
think this might be an anti-technology stand by someone.  Alaskans have to
have frozen meat, for whatever reason--It's the only way they can get it up
there, given that it all has to come by boat, and if a person lives in the
bush, it's the only way to keep it without drying all of it.  I wouldn't
worry about it, and I for darned sure wouldn't worry about giving frozen
meat to my dog.
