Is the glass original? Has it been damaged by the UV film? A solution which we
were able to implement at the Morris Jumel Mansion (1765) was replacement of
1930's glass which had been damaged by the installation of UV film in the
1970's with Uvilex treated "light restoration" glass from Bendheim. It ain't
cheap, but it blocks those unsightly UV rays and looks great. Go with the
exterior storms for energy conservation. Don't forget to weatherstrip.
