I've had two done that way but now they use an endoscopy which believe me is
a lot less of a problem. The reason I was told the capsule method was used
as it was believed to get a representative sample it was necessary to get
further down the intestine. Now they feel the sample using the endoscope
gives a reliable sample. Getting the capsule which I thought was called a
"Crosby" capsule in the right location was a lot of fun which is why you
could not be sedated during the process.
