Dear All,
Before this debate gets too far, let me throw my hat in the
ring and point out that *I* tend to be the one who is first
aware of my wife having eaten gluten because within a few
hours she gets depressed and depressed in a different way
to "normal" (there is a big family history of depression
and other mental problems). The difference is so clear cut
that I can specify EXACTLY the term she will use under
these circumstances. Karin is a Fine Art student and
normally is fairly "bullish" about her work. The ONLY
times when she starts saying "My work's no good" is from
about 2 hours after gluten ingenstion until about a week
after.
So there is a definite link which must presumably be
biochemical.
