Hi All,

Yet another company has introduced an option to get you a "free" computer.
This one comes from a company called PeoplePC and for $24.95 a month (three
years is required) in their service you get unlimited internet access,
discounts at several online merchants (5 percent back at Amazon.com as an
example) and a free computer to boot. This means that the "free" computer
costs you $898.20 but over that period assuming a $19.95 internet account
access fee you'd pay $718.20 anyway. You must also factor in a $48
shipping charge for the computer. Some specs on the computer can be found at:

http://www.peoplepc.com/aboutus_computerdetails.htm

Basically it is a 366 MHz machine with 64 Meg of RAM, a six gig hard drive
sound card, 32x CD ROM 56K modem and such. Upgrades to the basic equipment
are available for extra costs. This also includes a 3-year onsite
warranty. The machine comes from Toshiba although no model name was
provided and specifications on exactly what hardware was inside couldn't be
found in a quick browse of the company's web site. Whether this is a good
deal or not depends on what you want in a computer, how much money you have
available at present and such. Signing up with this company is actually an
application for credit as the membership includes a credit card with a 9.9
interest rate. I'm mentioning this company as something folks may want to
explore. I have no experience with the company but some of these computer
deals of late are interesting. More details can be found at:
