Mike;
Answer to 1) that the software (Iomega, Syquest and others) and setup with
Microsoft OS only allows the ZIP and other type devices to be recognized as
a removable harddrive, this puts them after the first bootable harddrive
partition.
Answer to 2) if you can get to the IOMEGA Web site - they do a good job
explaining in their FAQ on setting the correct parameters in the
C:\WINDOWS\DOSSTART.BAT file for GUEST setup for ZIP in DOS mode and also
what you need in a AUTOEXEC.DOS or AUTOEXEC.BAT file for the root.

Hello
Today I installed my Zip Plus. The installation was a 'breeze' so no
problems there. My hardrive has several partitions and the Zip was
designated the letter H.
1. Is it possible to make the Zip my second floppy (B) drive so that it is
recognised as such in DOS & W98?
2. If not, how can I see it in it's present position (H) in the DOS mode.
TIA ... Mick
