If you are looking at lectins, supposedly it's even possible to see
this with the naked eye (drop o' blood, drop o' food chopped up in
distilled water) or at least with your kid's microscope.  So if you
want to check agglutination, my understanding is it's not that hard,
though I haven't actually tried.
