You're absolutely right. I suspect that nearly every one of us (myself
included) is a little lazy sometimes about heading down to the library
to dig up research articles. I sometimes do this, but not often enough.

I never said otherwise. If I implied that I expect to come to this list
with no knowledge of nutrition, and through asking a few tiresome
questions, have everyone else do the work, I didn't mean to. It is an
interactive process. I am doing "my job" and refining my beliefs though
discussion.

Can you elaborate on the distinction between real questions and challenges
to every possible scenario? Maybe with an example? I ask because it seems
relevant to the current discussion of what are appropriate discussion
topics on the list.

I disagree about proving an issue to yourself. There are many important
topics in nutrition about which there is little consensus. Anyone who
reads a single book and maybe a couple of articles and thinks they can
be certain about what they've read is a fool. Someone else can have done
the same amount of reading (maybe even of the same sources!) and reached
a different conclusion. Discussion is an important ingredient here, and
asking pointed questions is an important part of discussion.

Is that just me, or anyone? I thought this was a support list. Regardless,
I don't ask anyone to care even the slightest about me or my tiresome
questions. I'll just keep asking them as long as I can.
