I wish that were the case. Unfortunately, my
reactions to milk have escalated from severe eczema
and mood swings as a child to anaphylactic now. I
have had the same experience with non-bcp meds and
argue with the pharmacist about it every time I pick
a new Rx up (grrrr). For some reason I have to
remind them that they sold me an epi-pen before they
chose to recognize my allergy as anything but LI
(double grrrr).
My reactions now are so severe that 8 salt & vinegar
potato chips (who'd have guessed they'd put lactose
in that?) sent me into a really bad reaction.
Unfortunately, my epi-pen was at home, & I had to
rely on oral anti-histamines to settle me down (very
frightening). It took forever, & I have never been
so scared.

I am thinking about writing the Rx companies, maybe
they know something I don't. I really need to be on
BCP because I am prone to benign ovarian cysts (ouch)
which have to be surgically removed before they
rupture (double ouch). If anyone has any ideas,
please let me know.
Thanks again - Manda
