Hi all;
My son-in-law managed to mess up the bios
on a chaintech 5SEM M105 pentium motherboard Sis chipset.
He had a bios flash go bad.
Number on bios chip - Award S/N:037915642 V________
My question is :
I found a place that charges $25 + shipping to program the eprom
but I don't really think the board is worth much more
than that. Anyone got a neat trick to get this board up and
running. I know about the hot swap method, but don't have
another similar board/chip. And I don't want to risk messing up
one of my other good mobos. The board is too old to "Restore Boot Block
BIOS" as described on chaintech webpage:
http://www.chaintech.dk/QUESTION/biosq.HTM#What is Boot-Block BIOS
Or a place that programs eproms for a more reasonable price?
TIA;
