SDRAM is better. EDO is an upgrade to standard Fast-page mode
SIMMS. It keeps a bit accessable while getting the next one,
fast-page can only handle one at a time. By doing this, EDO
gets around 45-50 nanoseconds between each memory read. SDRAM
on th other hand runs at the bus speed. This will give you
about 10-15 nanoseconds between memory reads on a 66MHZ bus
(most older chips), and 8 nanoseconds on a 100MHZ bus (new
(350-) PII's and K6-2's). (a nanoseconed is 1/1000000 of a
second).
