Most progroms today even don't need a PII 400, let alonethe even more
advance processors coming in the near future. As for RAM, some
are starting to recommend 64 or is it 32, Most games require complex
graphics and sound. SDRAM is faster than other ram in respects that
the stuff on it does load faster, just more ram can hold more stuff
until the progs have to be taken out of memory or the computer is
restarted or shut off.
Unless he's running a network server the most anyone really needs
is 64, at least right now. Probably in the next couple of years We'll
see the need for 200 Megs of Memory. Of course there's nothing
wrong for being prepared for the future.
The only things anyone would need higher than 64 is for a network server,
or if have to multitask a s*** load of programs.
