I just installed a new Shuttle 591P Mother Board in a system. Problem is
when the internal IDE zip drive is attached the system repeatedly hangs.
After disconecting the Zip drive it works great.
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to get this to work.
The VP3 chipset is soooo different, since I had to find 2-separate
drivers at the Via Web site to get it to work properly. The first driver
was for the VIA PCI bridge, and the second was for the VIA UDMA drivers.
I think the UDMA drivers may be the Problem here with the zip, since the
IDE Zip Drive is just ATAPI.
I don't know if anyone can help here, but at least some may gain some
insight into this Chipset, which by the way is running 100 mhz Bus speed
on a Super 7 board with the new AMD K6-2 3D 300 CPU...
