The problem is... vegetarians who base their diet on (their
interpretation of) Biblical teachings claim *they're* the ones
attempting "to recapture a bit of pre-Fall living," since, according
to the Book of Genesis, meat was not included in the human diet until
after Noah and his descendants survived the Great Flood.
