Is there anyone on a ketogenic diet here? Proteins and fats only? What are
the effects? How much (percent) fat and protein should you eat? I am not
trying to do keto per se, but proteins and fats only to reduce yeast/bad
bacteria, as well as heal leaky gut. In the STONE AGE diet he recommends
proteins/fats only to heal leaky gut but does not mention keto per se.
How much protein can you have so you don't overdose? Are there any HGers on
almost all proteins? And, how did they get enough fats, when most wild game
is so lean? Weren't there times when they may have been on almost all
proteins? And, what would be the effect of too much protein?
I try to give my son lots of pemmican every day made with pork fat but
worry about too much protein, still.
He is quite fussy in the morning, and is also more irritable during the day.
Could this be an adjustment to proteins/fats only?
On the other hand, he is more focussed and alert without the carbs.
Thanks for any input,
Moira
ps does anyone know of a low carb mailing list where they were discussing
leaky gut recently?
