Unless your grocery store has a good health food section, don't expect to
find Rice Dream there. Even if it does, you'll typically only find the Rice
Dream brand rice milk, but not the frozen Rice Dream ice cream substitute.
For that you'll have to go to a health food store or a "whole foods"
supermarket - they're popping up all over the place.

There are other brands of rice milk, including Pacific brand, my current
favorite.

If you can't find the ice cream substitutes, you might still be able to
find some good sorbets in the supermarket. Ben & Jerry's makes a good
chocolate sorbet and a few different fruit sorbets. Haagen Daas makes a
couple, too, but I have heard that theirs may have some cross-contamination
problems. Their chocolate sorbet contains eggs, for those of you who have
egg allergies.

There are several great brands of sorbets available though healthfoods and
wholefoods stores. The "Rainbow" brand and the Trader Joe's brand are
sinfully delicious and you'll find yourself reading the labels several
times to make sure that it's not ice cream.

Good Luck.

Mark
