The sound blaster card should have no connection to the driver you
mentioned.  This file is necessary for WIn98 to operate and it is
obvious there exists some reason the system cannot read the file.

Have you checked to see if your hard drive ribbon cable is securely
connected to both the drive and the controller?  You may have
jarred it loose moving the sound card.

Can you remove the card and Fdisk the drive, format it and install
WIn98?  You were not too clear on this point.  Possibly you are
loading the wrong drivers for the card...

If the cable is secure and you continue to receive these error messages,
it is very likely that the drive is going bad.
