Unless you are bringing up a different point from what I've seen before
this recomendation is largely a rule of thumb resulting from the protein
need numbers. When you eat all meat diet you get very few calories from
carbs. (still get some, though).
Then it's just the protein and fat. For an average sedentary male (165lbs)
the calorie need is about 2000 - 2500 per day. Protein needs are around 80gms,
or about 320 calories. At the outmost, 150gm per day (or 600 calories) if one
is trying not to lose any muscle mass during adaptation to ketosis. This gives
30% of calories from protein (or less), rest from fat (70% or more). Did you
have another reason for the 70%?
