There are several major reasons why your post may not show up on the list:
- you haven't changed the Digest subject line to something appropriate for
the topic of your post
- your email program is set to quoted-printable MIME encoding causing lots
of "garbage" characters to appear
- your emailer is set to send HTML or enriched text
- you have non-approved sig. files or are using sig. lines for quoting or
cute pictures
- you quote far more that necessary of the message to which you are replying

* EDITING OF MESSAGES REPLIED TO
- trim all but what is absolutely essential
- quoted text should be less than new text
- never quote headers nor entire messages
- try not quoting at all, paraphrase as an alternative

* SUBJECT LINES
- change DIGEST subject lines to reflect the topic of the post
- if the topic is changed under a thread, change the subject line

* SIGNATURE FILES
- the use of most sig. files and quote lines are not allowed
- use of a sig. file must have prior permission of the listowner
