Hi
I am writing for a friend who is a list member but is off to college and is
unable to go on line at the present time.
She has a new system and is having problems with her scanning.
Her H P Scanjet 5200c and Kurzweil 1000 version 4.0 is a bit new to her but
I don't think her problems are user errors. After booting up she manually
loads the Kurzweil software and is able to scan one page then her system
crashes. Once rebooted she has no problem and can scan many pages.
Jaws is on her system but is not an issue because it does not load at boot
up.
Hewlett Packard blames Kurzweil and vice versa. This is too familiar. The
latest tech support person at Kurzweil told her that her scanner is not
compatible , not new enough, and this is the cause of her problems. Are
any of you using this combination of hardware and software and experiencing
similar problems?
Thank you for your help,
Stewart
