Hello:
To get ride of NT from your hard drive:
1- if you have dual boot systems ( ie. win95 and win nt )
a- boot in win95, creat a boot disk from add&remove software applet
in control panle.
b- boot with disk you have created in drive a:
c- at the prompt type--> sys c:
That sould remove windows NT from master boot record.
d-reboot
e-delete winnt directory if win nt was installed on same FAT partition
other wise use fdisk to fromat the NTFS partition.
( Note if that partition was created with win nt boot 3 boot disk
then you need to boot using these disk and go through setup process
until you reach the step where you are been asked to select
partition
then select the NTFS partition, delete it and press F3 to exit.
(( you need to read the screens carefully , I might over stepped
some key point ))
If you have a win nt and dos:
a- from dos boot disk ,after boot, type sys c:
b- delete the five nt specific file
If it was plain NTFS:
go through the NT setup
select the partition, deleted, then creat and format as fat
then press F3 to exit the setup.
Good Luck,
I have done this procedure many times.
Regards
