Well as the proud owner of a Cyrix which I use as an auxillary heater in
the winter.... I would strongly advocate for the white goo -- it will help
in the transfer of heat from the chip to heat sink and for a Cyrix that is
very good. Anything you can do is get heat off the Cyrix is warranted.
I've used Cyrii (plural of Cyrix??) and everyone has run hotter than
comparable chips and even hotter than chips must faster than it. So apply
jelly and sleep well at night.
