I had a problem with connecting a DataTank IDE-to-parallel external drive
box to a switch box on an IBM ThinkPad 760 docking station. After the
Datatank port driver loaded, I then switched to the printer. When I tried
to print Windows reported that the port was in use by another device and
could not be used to print. I have tried rebooting with the printer
attached first, then switching over to the DataTank (which then, using
Plug'n'Play, loaded it's drivers). Still switching back to the printer it
reports that the port is in use.
I can use the switch box for my zip drive, scanner, connectix camera, and
printer with no problems.
