Most (actually all I have seen) CD-RW drives can write to both media, either
CD-RW (which is more expensive), or standard CD-R in the standard formats. A
CD-RW disk may not be supported on all CD-ROM drives, especially those older
than a year or so. I do know that the newer Plextor CDROM drives (12/20Plex and
UltraPlex) will read CD-RW disks.
A CD-R disk written on a CD-RW drive is the same as one written on a CD-R drive,
and should be readable by most any CDROM drive.
