This is why it may be more appropriate to talk about "weight normalization"
than about weight loss or gain. I wouldn't say, however, that meat per se
leads to weight normalization in all cases (for example, I've heard at least
a couple of stories about overweight woman who gained weight on the Atkins
diet). It is more accurate to say that the diet that is healthiest for you
(whatever it may be) will also normalize your weight. In any case, I agree
that our ancestors were smart cookies, or the paleo equivalent. ;-)
