Dear Linda,

I called Spectrum and they said this oil is food grade.

Because of the "fat" and "low fat" scare, they no longer market it for food,
but they told me over the phone, it is fine for cooking.

However, they said they are also working on obtaining an organic coconut
oil. You could call them, I forget the number, but I called directory
assistance for the 707 narea code. The more calls they get, the better, the
sooner an organic product may be available

What is hexane, anyway--- you mean we can't use coconut oil now!!

Does anyone know? Have been using it with the turkey pemmican for Larry
