Dear Trish, It has taken me a few days to get around to reading mail,
and so just saw your post. Try shopping the Parve hecksher. There are
semi-sweet chocolate chips available, and we find then most often in the
"store brands". Some chains carry many heckshered products in their
house label, and we have had good luck searching out fun "naughty" foods
for an occasional treat in those stores. In our area, (Maine) Shaw's
and Shop & Save both have good selections of Parve products, including
baking supplies. We started looking for the chips when, one day, my
four year old announced that he wanted to make a delicious cookie for
his milk allergic two year old brother!
Good luck, Dale Robin Lockman
