My grandfather is mildly lactose intolerant...he was ill for a while
and  this triggered a severe intolerance for about a year.  They bought
soy formula, the kind that is also made without sugar for diabetic
babies...he used this on his cereal -- though he did say it tasted
awful.  But, if your child is already used to it, I'd say go ahead and
continue with it.  Much better than a new product that might not work
out for them.
