>I'm also curious: How much does a RAST test cost?
There are several companies out there doing them. Here's one of them,
though I'm not sure whether they use RAST or ELISA, but I think RAST:
Alletess can do a full panel on different foods. You'll have to
call for price, but I hear they'll only give out the price to an MD.
Alletess Medical
216 Pleasant Street
Rockland, MA 02370
1-800-225-5404
Then this lab is a popular one, but uses ELISA:
Meridan Valley Clinical Laboratory
515 W. Harrison St.
Kent, Washington 98032
Tel: (206) 859-1135
Fax: (206) 859-8700
They have two food panels covering 190 foods available (approximate cost
$125US). If you have trouble finding a doctor who will do the test for you,
phone or fax the laboratory and they will likely be able to give you the
name of a physician in your area who will arrange the test.
