She said that the conditions "can" be related, not that all of them "are."
It depends on the individual's genetics & chemistry & presentation of
symptoms.  Scientific proof is emerging in many of these areas for those
willing to read it and keep up with it.  Let's stay on the topic of helping
find solutions.
