Here are some ideas about Windows protection errors. For more details, check
out Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q149962. You can find it at
http://support.microsoft.com .

Try restarting in Safe Mode. If the error goes away in Safe Mode, see
article Q136337.

If your PC is a PnP model, try reinstalling Win95 with setup /p I (that's a
capital i).

Boot to DOS. Install Win95 in a new folder. Do a custom installation and
install minimal hardware (MS recommends a mouse, VGA adapter, and keyboard).
