Subject: Memory test Failed
Hello Folks: I have a older system: Pentium 133, 32mgs Ram, HX chipset. The
board bios is dated May, 1996. Recently on most boots (but not all) I get
the error message "memory test failed":push F1 to continue or Del to enter
setup. I push F1 and the system always continue to boot all the way up into
Win95a. Although the memory does count up properly, I swapped out the two
16mg SIMM's for two spare 8 mg SIMM's, but the problem still continues. On
most startups but not all I get the error message, but I can continue with
the boot up. Can someone suggest what all items would cause this if itis
not a SIMM problem? Thank You, William Patton
