I just repaired a system with an exact issue. In my case, it wasn't actually
the bus causing the problem. Another device was preventing it from running
smoothly. In fact it had to do with the Commnication ports listed in CMOS.

It's something you may want to check out. After verifying what com ports the
system was actually using, I disabled one of the com ports in CMOS,
re-booted and the device was working properly.

Some symptoms that were relived were:

- the yellow flag is gone
- the system doesn't freezeup like it use to
