 The baud rate you are looking at is the data throughput to the modem
with a 33.6 I recommend using the 115k setting.
 Depending on what dialer you are using you probably have a connection
speed in your connected to dialogue box, after you are connected.
You should be aware that, depending on your telephone lines, 28.8 is the
best you may do. If all else fails, a call to your provider should get
you a connect speed report. Also there is a plethora of FREEWARE and
SHAREWARE (please pay for it if you keep using it)utilities that purport
to monitor your Net connection.
