What does Device Manager have to say about your video card?  Is it
correctly identified there?  Are the settings correct?  And how about
the Display Properties?  Is it set up properly there?  Which drivers
were you using originally?  Sorry there are so many questions and no
answers, but I for one, don't yet have enough information to go on.
